According to the Department of Justice, a Pakistani-American man has pled guilty to allegations of illegally exporting classified computer equipment to a Pakistani nuclear research facility.
Obaidullah Syed, 66, faces up to five years in federal prison and a fine of USD 250,000 if convicted. The date of his sentence has been set for February 23. Syed founded Business System International in Pakistan and BSI USA in Chicago, both of which offered high-performance computing platforms, servers, and software application solutions.
