In the last year or so, the rise in vehicle prices in Pakistan has become the norm. The prices of their cars have been hiking all the big car firms. Earlier, the companies blamed high US dollar prices, but the trend sustained, although in the last few months the dollar price has decreased by Rs8.
The most recent case in point is the Suzuki APV price increase. It was announced in the latest update that PSMC raised the APV price by a huge Rs. 1,115,000, taking its latest price from Rs. 3,460,000 to Rs. 4,575,000.
In Pakistan, the APV is sold as a CBU imported from Indonesia. Hence, because of imported duties and taxes, it is one of the vehicles that becomes costly on arrival.
