A MoU has been signed by the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) and the Finnish Turku Vocational Institute to reinforce bilateral cooperation between the two nations in the areas of technical and vocational education and training.
A number of areas will be covered by the MoU signed between the two countries, including the training of trainers and job-specific training, the mutual accreditation of technical and vocational training institutes, the creation of joint training and skills development institutions in Pakistan, frequent exchange of TVET trainers, mutual cooperation in the field of development and implementation of virtual training modules and blended learning, etc.
While explaining the scope of the MoU, the Executive Director of NAVTTC said that it will make a major contribution to overhaul of the skill training system in Pakistan and “to develop a highly skilled, dynamic and internationally competitive youth workforce as envisaged by the current government.”
The signing ceremony took place at the Islamabad Ministry of Federal Education and Skilled Training. Principal Immonen Hannu of the Turku Vocational Institute and NAVTTC Executive Director Dr. Faheem Mohammad sang the records.
