Pakistan Army Pays Tribute to War Hero Major Shabbir Sharif on 52nd Martyrdom Anniversary

The Armed Forces of Pakistan, along with the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and Services Chiefs, paid tribute to Major Shabbir Sharif Shaheed on the 52nd anniversary of his martyrdom.

Major Shabbir Sharif, a recipient of Nishan-e-Haider, demonstrated exceptional bravery during the 1971 war.

He was tasked with capturing a strategically important high ground defended by Indian forces.

Despite facing tough resistance, he successfully captured the area, killing 43 Indian soldiers and destroying 4 tanks.

Major Shabbir Sharif’s heroic actions in both the 1965 and 1971 wars serve as a reminder that courage and devotion are instrumental in achieving victory.

The nation honors and remembers its gallant sons who sacrificed their lives in defense of the motherland.
