The British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Jane Marriott, praised the Pakistan Army for their sacrifices in the fight against enemies. She said that the armed forces paid a big price to keep peace not only in Pakistan but also around the world.
In an interview, the British representative gave her sympathy to the families of those who lost their lives in the fight. She talked about how important Pakistan is for global peace and how it’s a good friend to the United Kingdom.
Talking about Afghanistan, Marriott said that even though the news on UK TV talked about many things, people around the world still care about Afghanistan. She said the UK is talking with the Afghan government to help them.
Marriott said that they talked about these things in Doha with different groups. She’s worried about the people in Afghanistan, especially girls and women. She also said that things have changed, and the world’s young people are doing better because bad things are getting less.
She also talked about how Pakistani construction companies can help rebuild Afghanistan. The UK wants to help too.
Talking about climate change, Marriott said it’s important because Pakistan is at risk of floods and other problems. The UK wants to work with Pakistan and others to make things better. They will help with money for this through private investors.
