The Ministry of National Food Security and Research underscores the noteworthy contribution of sesame as a vital cash crop within Pakistan’s agricultural framework.
This accomplishment is credited to the coordinated endeavors of provincial governments, partnering with the Ministry of National Food Security, and supported by the National Oilseeds Enhancement Program funded through the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP).
The collaborative initiatives and strategic programs have played a pivotal role in enhancing sesame production and elevating Pakistan’s standing in the global market as a major contributor to sesame exports, reaching the impressive milestone of over four hundred million dollars in the current year.
