Pakistan, China Agree on Early Launch of Railway Most Modern ML-1 Project

China and Pakistan agreed on the early launch of the Mainline-1 (ML1) project.

The agreement was reached between the two countries when the Chinese ambassador hosted a dinner for Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique.

Railways Chairman, Additional Secretary, Secretary Aviation, and Chief Executive Officer Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) participated as well.

This Project was scheduled earlier but due to some Faults and issues, it was delayed. ML-1 is considered to be the largest Infrastructure project with an estimated cost of US$ 6.8068 billion on August 5, 2020.

Saad Rafique also insisted Chinese ambassador take into consideration Airlines in order to make Pakistan’s small airports functional.

The Chinese ambassador assured the minister that he will discuss the matter with the Chinese private airlines.
