Pakistan Collaborates with to help in Ginger Cultivation.

Collaboration with Chinese scientists through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) programme could help Pakistan grow ginger successfully.

According to a Planning Commission paper titled “Cluster Development Based Agriculture Transformation Plan Vision-2025,” “a team of experts including breeders, soil scientists, economists, and others should be sponsored to produce new ginger types suitable for the local environment.”

According to the paper, the team should work with Chinese scientists through the CPEC programme to import ginger germplasm and create appropriate management procedures in order to attain a target yield that is at least equal to or higher than the global average within the estimated time frame.

According to the Planning Commission study from the Ministry of Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, certain areas in the Mansehra district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province may be suitable for development.
