Pakistan Earns Rs 3 Billion from ICC Champions Trophy 2025

Pakistan earned Rs 3 billion from hosting the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, according to Amir Mir, the Advisor to the PCB Chairman. The tournament was fully funded by the International Cricket Council (ICC) with a budget of $70 million, of which $10 million was allocated to Pakistan.

Amir Mir rejected claims from Indian media that Pakistan faced financial losses. He emphasized that the event was financially successful and credited PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi for the board’s effective management. The revenue from the tournament highlights Pakistan’s capability to host major international cricket events.

Additionally, the tournament brought significant improvements to Pakistan’s cricket infrastructure. Several stadiums were renovated and upgraded to meet international standards. These enhancements will benefit Pakistan cricket for years to come, providing better facilities for players and fans.

Despite the success, Amir Mir confirmed that Pakistan would not travel to India for any cricket events in the next three years. This decision comes as a response to India’s continued refusal to play matches in Pakistan. The strained political relations between the two countries have impacted their cricketing ties.

The Champions Trophy 2025 not only brought financial gains but also strengthened Pakistan’s reputation as a capable host for global cricket events. With upgraded venues and positive international attention, Pakistan is in a stronger position to host future tournaments.

Amir Mir expressed optimism about Pakistan’s cricketing future, stating that the country’s efforts in organizing the Champions Trophy proved its dedication to promoting the sport. Pakistan’s success in hosting the event is a milestone for its cricket board and a step forward in bringing more international cricket back to the country.
