Pakistan Economy is on Way to Recovery and Improved at a Rate of 4.5% in 2021: United Nations

According to a United Nations study on the world economic situation, Pakistan’s economy is recovering, owing to increased private sector demand, record remittances from overseas and financial assistance.

Pakistan’s economy grew at a pace of 4.5 percent in 2021, according to the research, and is predicted to increase at a rate of 3.9 percent in 2022.

According to the study, Pakistan raised interest rates in the second half of the current fiscal year in response to growing inflation and a widening current account deficit.

According to the UN assessment, Pakistan’s economy requires income restoration and multi-faceted support, as well as timely policy changes by the central bank to enhance all sectors and stabilise pricing.
