Pakistan Hockey Team Reach FIH Nations Cup Semi Final

Pakistan narrowly lost to France in a thrilling 11-goal hockey match at the FIH Nations Cup in Gniezno, Poland, with the final score at 6-5. Despite the defeat, Pakistan advanced to the semi-finals due to a better goal difference than Malaysia.

The match saw France leading 5-2 by the third quarter with impressive goals from Victor Charlet, Rogeau Blaise, and Gaspard Baumgarten. Pakistan, however, staged a remarkable comeback in the fourth quarter with goals from Rana Waheed, Abdul Rehman, and Hannan Shahid. Unfortunately for Pakistan, Charlet scored a late penalty corner to secure the win for France.

Earlier in the tournament, Pakistan had drawn with Malaysia and achieved a significant victory over Canada with an 8-1 scoreline. Thanks to these performances, Pakistan’s overall goal difference allowed them to move on to the semi-finals despite the close loss to France.

Pakistan will now face New Zealand in the semi-final match on June 8. The team’s journey in the FIH Nations Cup has been filled with ups and downs, but their resilience and ability to score in critical moments have kept their hopes alive.

Fans are eagerly anticipating the upcoming match, hopeful that Pakistan will continue to show their strength and advance to the finals.
