Pakistan Includes Animal Sacrifice in Hajj Package without Extra Payment

The Federal government has announced great news for pilgrims as Eid-ul-Azha is nearby. Now pilgrims do not have to pay an extra amount for animal sacrifice during Hajj as it will be included in the Hajj Package.

The Minister of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Talha Mahmood, stated in a press conference on 14th May 2023, that the government would handle the expenditure of qurbani to provide relaxation to pilgrims who are already paying huge amounts for Hajj.

Previously, the expense on animal sacrifice was PKR 57,000 in Saudi Arabia. Now as the extra amount is lifted, Talha Mahmood has also stated that almost 26000 pilgrims will be going for Hajj from Islamabad International Airport.

The relief is provided to pilgrims as a part of agreement between Pakistan and Saudi authorities of developing Road to Makkah project.
