Pakistan Mobile Phone Users to Pay Lower Advance Income Tax

In the forthcoming budget for 2021-22, the Finance Ministry has promised to reduce advance income tax on mobile phone users from 12.5 percent to 10 percent, according to Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Syed Amin Ul Haque.

Syed Amin ul Haque, Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunications, laid the foundation stone for the Information Technology Park Chak Shahzad in Islamabad.

He said that the park will be constructed in 28 months at a cost of Rs. 13.70 billion.

The IT Park Islamabad will be comprised of twelve self-contained buildings with a total covered area of 66,893 square metres (10 storeys above ground and 2 stories beneath).

He further added that the IT Park will be built with state-of-the-art infrastructure and allied amenities for ICT enterprises with the help of Korea’s Exim Bank. The project’s overall cost is Rs. 13,727.07 million.
