Pakistan Needs to Complete Gas Line Project by 2024 or Pay $18 Billion Fine, Iran Warns

By 2024, Pakistan must finish a section of the Iran-Pakistan (IP) gas pipeline project within its territory, or Iran would impose fines.

The delegation of Pakistani officials who visited Tehran three weeks ago was also notified of this, said a top official in the ministry of energy.

By March 2024, Iran requires that Pakistan build a portion of the IP gas line project on its soil. A charge of 18 billion dollars would be levied against Pakistan if it fails to complete the gas line project.
