Pakistan Observes Defence and Martyrs’ Day with Patriotic Spirit

On the 58th Defence and Martyrs’ Day, Pakistan’s top military leaders paid homage to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation. This annual observance, held on September 6th, commemorates the fateful day in 1965 when Indian forces launched an attack on Pakistan’s eastern Punjab province by breaching the international border.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military’s media arm, issued a statement quoting the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and all service chiefs. They underscored the profound importance of this day, praising the courage and selflessness of previous generations as an enduring wellspring of inspiration.

The ISPR underscored that the nation’s freedom and tranquility owe much to the sacrifices of martyrs and veterans, and the Pakistan Armed Forces remain unwavering in their commitment to safeguarding the country from all internal and external threats.

Furthermore, the ISPR issued a stern warning that any hostile attempts to disrupt Pakistan’s peace would be met with the full might of the Pakistani armed forces.
