According to an official statement, Dilawar Syed, Pakistani American businessman and entrepreneur, has recently been named as the new Special Representative for Commercial and Business Affairs.
“Special Representative Syed has a strong background in business and entrepreneurship, having developed worldwide businesses in the domains of technology, healthcare, and business services,” the statement stated.
He will also use his federal and state-level experience to promote commercial and economic policies that benefit American workers and businesses.
Furthermore, he was also a key figure in pushing the State Department’s Global Entrepreneurship Program and connecting Silicon Valley innovators with emerging entrepreneurial ecosystems during the Obama administration.
