As per recent news, the California State Senate has enacted ACR 104, which establishes a sister state relationship between the United States and the Punjab Province of Pakistan.
California state parliament states, “A sister state relationship between California and Punjab, Pakistan, would encourage multifaceted engagement, including bilateral trade and commerce as well as educational, environmental, and cultural cooperation.”
It further said the similarities and commonalities between California and Punjab would be enhanced as a result of this mutually beneficial relationship.
