Pakistan Set Target of 202 Runs for Afghanistan in 1st ODI

In the opening match of the three-game ODI series at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota, Pakistan has set a target of 202 runs for Afghanistan.

Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first. Demonstrating a remarkable performance, the Afghan bowlers started with an impactful bowling dismissing Fakhar Zaman at 2 runs, and captain Babar Azam without scoring.

The opener, Imam-ul-Haq, stabilized the innings after the early losses, amassing 61 runs off 94 deliveries before Mohammad Nabi got him dismissed. Rizwan contributed 21 runs, while Shahdab Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed notched 39 and 30 runs respectively, collectively contributing Pakistan’s score to 201.

Afghanistan’s Mujeebur Rahman secured three wickets, while Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi each got two wickets, dismantling Pakistan’s entire batting lineup in 47.1 overs.
