Pakistan to Launch Remote Sensing Satellite from China

Pakistan’s Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) is preparing to launch a new remote-sensing satellite into space on July 31. The launch will take place at China’s Xichang Satellite Launch Center.

This new satellite will help Pakistan observe Earth more closely and collect important information from space. It is designed to support many fields such as farming, city planning, and keeping an eye on risks from natural disasters like floods or earthquakes.

The satellite will also help the country monitor the environment. For example, it will track melting glaciers, deforestation, and other changes happening to nature over time. This will give scientists and government departments better data to plan and protect natural resources.

The launch is part of SUPARCO’s long-term plan called Vision 2047, which aims to build a stronger space program for Pakistan’s future. This new satellite will work alongside Pakistan’s other satellites, like PRSS-1 and EO-1, to boost the country’s space abilities and support the National Space Policy goals.

By launching more satellites, Pakistan hopes to improve its own technology, collect reliable information without depending on other countries, and create more opportunities for research and development in space science.

This is another big step for Pakistan’s growing space program and shows how important modern technology is for solving everyday problems and planning for the future.
