A famous British Minister expressed his belief in the strength of the trade links between Pakistan and Britain, and went so far as to say that the value of the trade relationship between the two nations might be £ 20 billion.
The Minister of State for Housing, Cities and Local Government, Lord Stephen Greenhalgh has stated that good and historic bilateral relations exist between Pakistan and the United Kingdom (UK).
He added that the two Nations have tremendous Trade Capacity that should be strengthened in order to increase trade relations between them.
When speaking at the Virtual Christmas celebrations organized by the Conservative Friends of Pakistan (CFoP) in cooperation with the World Congress of Overseas Pakistanis, Lord Greenhalgh made these remarks (WCOP).
These celebrations have been organized by the WCOP in support of Pakistani Christians in the UK since 2013.
The minister hailed the services given in the UK by the Pakistani diaspora community, stating that he saw some “Amazing success stories from British-Pakistanis.”
“We have awesome British-Pakistani success stories. Be it politics, industry, sports or health services. In different fields, the British-Pakistanis are champions and lead from the front. In the next 10 years, we have an immense opportunity to raise bilateral Trade to 20 billion sterling pounds,” he said.
The British dignitary stressed the significance of interfaith unity and announced that there was a “Need to be tolerant, listen to each other and celebrate our festivals together and that by hosting these events of togetherness, the Pakistani diaspora is doing a wonderful job.”
The virtual event was attended by a significant number of participants including MPs, Lords and ambassadors (including members from several groups and legislative organizations).
