Pakistan’s fast-bowling coach, Umar Gul, expressed his belief that the team will miss the presence of pacer Naseem Shah during their upcoming Test tour of Australia.
Naseem Shah, who missed the ICC World Cup 2023, is not part of the squad for the series Down Under due to shoulder surgery.
Umar Gul mentioned that Naseem Shah’s absence will be felt in Australia.
Despite this, Gul outlined the plans for the pacers in Australia, emphasizing the need for hard work in challenging conditions.
He acknowledged that Pakistan’s performance in the World Cup did not meet expectations.
Shan Masood will lead the Pakistan team in the series, starting with the first Test in Perth on December 14.
The training camp, which includes additional players, is scheduled from November 22 to 28, and the team will depart on November 30.
Shahnawaz Dahani is undergoing rehabilitation, and additional players like Arshad Iqbal and Shadab Khan are part of the training camp.
Ali Shafique, Mohammad Ali, and Sameen Gul have also been called up.
