Young athletes from Karachi emerged victorious over India in the U-10 and U-13 categories, clinching gold medals at the South Asian Jump Rope Championship, as per a report by 24NewsHD TV channel.
Marwah Kamran secured the gold medal in the speed event in the Under-10 category, while Muhammad Hussain claimed gold in the U-13 category.
India secured the second position, with Nepal trailing at third.
Pakistan’s team has so far amassed two gold and four silver medals on the event’s opening day in Katmandu, Nepal.
In addition to their gold medals, Muhammad Hussain and Marwah Kamran also clinched silver medals in the endurance event.
Another standout performer, Syeda Warisha, brought further glory to the country by earning a silver medal in the U-13 freestyle speed and endurance event.
The South Asian Jump Rope Federation (SAJRF) is organizing the championship.
