Pakistani guy has won the Rs 2.5 billion Dubai lottery

Junaid Rana, a Pakistani, won Mahzooz’s first-ever Grand Prize of AED 50,000,000 (about Rs2.5 billion or $13.6 million), the largest cash prize ever won in a live draw in the UAE and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

Junaid, 36, a company driver in Dubai, was the lucky winner of the massive prize money in the 48th weekly live Mahzooz draw. Junaid recounts a series of fortuitous coincidences that led to his life-changing lottery participation.

“Whenever my income is credited, I normally engage in Mahzooz.” Due to a public holiday this month, my pay was delayed and credited on the day of the draw.”

Instead of getting out of his car to get cash from an ATM for a shopping run on Saturday evening, Junaid stayed in his car, downloaded the Mahzooz app, and engaged on the spur of the moment: “An inner voice told me Mahzooz was a better investment than snacks.” “Two hours before the draw’s cut-off, I clicked on six random numbers.”
