Pakistan’s Awais Munir Qualify for Asian Snooker Championship Final After Defeating Iran’s Amir Sarkoosh

Pakistani snooker player Awais Munir has made it to the finals of the Asian Snooker Championship. The semi-finals, held in Qatar, saw Munir facing off against the defending champion, Amir Sarkoosh from Iran.

During the intense match, Munir showed excellent control over his cue stick, defeating Sarkoosh in four frames. This prevented Sarkoosh from reaching his fourth consecutive final and fifth overall.

In the first frame, Munir took the lead with a score of 36-57. However, in the second frame, Sarkoosh made a strong comeback, winning with a score of 80-0.

Despite the setback, Munir bounced back and won the next three frames with scores of 17-75, 47-67, and 32-69, respectively.

This achievement by Awais Munir is significant because he is the first Pakistani snooker player since 2015 to reach the final of the Asian Snooker Championship. The last time a Pakistani player reached the final was in 2015 when Hamza Akbar won the championship.
