As per speakers at a webinar, IT sector is expected to grow tremendously in the following months and years, with IT exports rising from 2.1 billion dollars to around 3.5 billion dollars this fiscal year.
The Consulate General of Pakistan in Toronto organized a webinar titled “Pakistan Canada IT Cooperation: Connecting the Dots.”
According to them, Pakistan’s IT industry is burgeoning, and the government is taking the necessary steps to ensure its continued development. These include increasing the number of IT graduates from 25,000 to 50,000, establishing software technology parks in big to second-tier cities, boosting IT companies’ access to finance, minimizing tax disputes, upgrading IT companies’ financial structure, and listing them at the stock exchange.
