Pakistan’s Largest defense exhibition IDEAS 2022 kickoffs in Karachi

A four-day International Defence Exhibition and Seminar IDEAS-22 has begun in Karachi on Tuesday.

The exhibition was officially launched by Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who was joined by Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah.

The event, which brings together defence firms from around the world to demonstrate their newest technological advancements, was organised by the Defense Export Promotion Organization.

The event is being attended by 285 delegations from 64 countries and 522 participants from 51 countries. The exhibition would also be seen by numerous senior governmental and military delegations as well as trade visitors.

The Karachi Expo Center will host the four-day defence exhibition till November 18.

Defense industries from around the world

The exhibition aimed at bringing defense industries from around the world to showcase their latest technological innovations. Washington and Moscow are also among the exhibitors this year while Austria, Romania, and Hungry are participating for the first time at the defence exhibition.

Although Kremlin will not be joining as an exhibitor this year, they still have a presence in the form of a delegation.

Beijing and Ankara are taking part at full capacity and Turkish companies booked two complete halls for showcasing their products, while there’s one hall for China.
