Pakistan’s Manpower Exports Reached 832,339 in 2022, Highest in 7 Years

A minor increase of less than 1% from 2021, according to the Bureau of Emigrants and Overseas Employment (BEOE), Pakistan dispatched 832,339 employees in 2022. 946,571 was the greatest number ever recorded, making this the second-highest total ever.

A significant number of employees who returned home during the COVID-19 epidemic and found jobs there, as well as workers who were unable to travel abroad but found work at home, are the main factors driving the steady rise in manpower exports since 2021.

Many Pakistanis may have traveled abroad in quest of better professional possibilities due to the lack of employment options in both the public and private sectors.
