Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs Proposes Ban on Game Shows in Ramadan.

With Ramadan drawing near, Muslims are gearing up for the Blessed month with all the energy and enthusiasm, Muslims fast all day long, giving them the opportunity to deepen their spirituality and renew their religion.

Among several Ramadan preparations are special transmissions which include games, interviews, and musical transmissions. These television programmes start right away after Iftar and keep on air until Sehr.

This year, the Ministry of Religious Affairs recommended a ban on all these games shows in the respect of this beautiful month.

Furthermore, the ministry has established six requirements to be observed during the holy month. The standards had been evolved after analysing previous years while the shows have been just a source of amusement.

Taking to Twitter, the Ministry requested in a letter that the six policies supplied by means of the Ministry be carefully implemented through TV broadcasters. Noor-ul-Haq Qadri believed that the transmission’s entire theme and awareness must be the promotion of Islamic doctrines and sectarianism.
