Pakistan’s to Provide Quality Telecom Services to Masses’, IT Minister

Dr. Umar Saif, the Caretaker Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication, recently underscored the government’s unwavering dedication to providing top-notch telecom services to the public. In a meeting with Aamir Ibrahim, the Group CEO of VEON, and CEO of Jazz, crucial aspects of mutual interest within the telecom sector were discussed. Notably, Dr. Saif revealed plans for an upcoming auction of tech-neutral spectrum, a strategic move aimed at bolstering telecom services.

A significant highlight of the discussion was the minister’s endorsement of the impending 5G launch and the facilitation of smartphone acquisition through convenient installment plans. Dr. Saif further urged Jazz to explore investments in pivotal areas such as e-agriculture, e-education, and e-health, citing the favorable investment climate in Pakistan.
