Pakistan’s Wrestler Inam Butt Gets Rs. 1 Million by Punjab Government for Winning 2 Gold Medals

Inam Butt, Pakistan’s most famous wrestler of this generation, was awarded Rs. 1 million by the Punjab government after winning two gold medals in the Beach Wrestling World Series in Italy and Greece last year.

On Wednesday, Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti presented the gifted wrestler with a cheque for Rs 10 lakhs at the National Hockey Stadium.

The regional minister of sports, speaking on the occasion, praised the performance of the ace wrestler, stating that Inam had once again made the entire country proud by winning two straight gold medals in the Beach Wrestling World Series in Italy and Greece last year. “Inam is our national hero, and it is our primary responsibility to honour and support athletes like him,” he stated.

Rai Taimoor went on to say that the Punjab Sports Board has always supported bright athletes like Inam Butt.

“Inam is a wonderful son of the country. We are quite proud of Inam Butt “He stated it once again.

The minister used the opportunity to encourage the country’s future athletes to be inspired by Inam Butt’s incredible exploits. The minister added, “The Punjab government also gave every type of help to Pakistan’s special athlete Haider Ali and other players for their participation in the Tokyo Olympic Games last year.”
