Pakistan was defeated for the third time in the ICC World Cup on Friday at Mount Maunganui, when the South African women beat the Green Shirts by six runs.
The Proteas batted first and set a win target of 224 for nine in the fifty overs allocated.
Pakistan were dismissed for 217 runs, falling six runs short of their target. Pakistan had previously been defeated by India and then Australia, both of whom have climbed to the top of the Women’s World Cup standings.
On Monday, Pakistan’s women, who are now at the bottom of the points table, will face Bangladesh (March 14).
