PCB Gets Fullproof Security Guarantee for Karachi PSL Matches

As the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 9) approaches, scheduled to begin on February 17, Zaka Ashraf, Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee, has received a strong assurance regarding security measures from Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Riffat Mukhtar.

Discussions regarding security arrangements for PSL matches, including the qualifier, two eliminators, and the final set to take place in Karachi, were held at Karachi’s Central Police Office.

During these discussions, the Sindh IGP emphasized the professional handling of security matters, citing the high alertness and effective security measures employed by Sindh Police during previous significant events at the National Stadium.

Expressing complete satisfaction with the approved contingency plans for PSL matches, Zaka Ashraf conveyed gratitude to the police officer.

He also confirmed the commitment of cooperation from both himself and the PCB administration for any necessary collaboration. This collaborative effort seeks to ensure a secure and successful PSL 9, with a focus on the safety of players, officials, and spectators.
