The PCB has launched an ambitious bid to establish a franchise-based T20 league for junior cricketers. The inaugural edition is slated for October, and the six existing PSL franchises will be granted the right to acquire one franchise.
In a statement, PCB President Ramiz Raja said that PCB aims to select players from the 1519 age group through a selection process.
He stated that there would be a city-based league with players chosen through a draught mechanism that would include international age-group cricketers. The PCB will foster a brilliant environment, with legends and idols of the game serving as mentors and coaches in player dugouts and top-tier TV coverage.”
