Shahid Khan Afridi has been offered the position of Chief Selector for the World Cup of 2023 by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Currently serving as an interim chief selector, Shahid Afridi is wanted by the PCB to continue in that position for a further 10 months. Shahid Afridi has been offered the opportunity to remain in command until the World Cup in India in November by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Shahid Afridi will respond following the New Zealand ODI series, according to reports. Shahid Afridi is open to providing advice on other matters, including those involving the coaching staff. Shahid Afridi asserts that he would perform better if he were given a voice in crucial selections for the national squad.
