This marked their third national one-day title, the last being in the 2016-17 season against the same opponent, Karachi Whites.
During the 2016-17 final at the National Bank Stadium, Karachi, Peshawar dominated with both bat and ball. Opting to bat first, Karachi Whites struggled on a challenging pitch, posting a modest 103 runs in 31.2 overs. Mohammad Imran’s stellar bowling performance, claiming four wickets for 28 runs, played a crucial role in restricting Karachi. Peshawar comfortably chased down the target, reaching 108-5 in 17.2 overs, with Mohammad Haris contributing significantly with a brisk 46 runs.
The tournament’s standout performers received well-deserved recognition. Haseebullah from Multan was awarded the player of the tournament and best wicket-keeper, Saim Ayub from Karachi Whites named the best batter, and Mohammad Imran rightfully declared the player of the final for his impactful figures of 4-28.
