Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has increased its direct flight services from Islamabad to Gilgit, following a similar step taken for Skardu. The national flag carrier now offers two daily flights from Islamabad Airport to Gilgit to accommodate the growing number of tourists.
This decision was made in response to the increase in tourist arrivals during school vacations. PIA has observed a rise in passenger numbers on Skardu flights during the summer break, which prompted the introduction of direct flights from Lahore and Karachi to Skardu as well.
The airline’s recent launch of direct flights between Karachi and Skardu demonstrates its commitment to meeting the travel needs of tourists and providing convenient connectivity to popular tourist destinations in Pakistan.
