PIA Launches New Domestic and International Flight Routes in January 2025

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is gearing up to enhance its flight operations with the launch of new domestic and international routes starting January 2025. The airline aims to strengthen its connectivity and improve its services with the addition of these routes, reflecting a renewed focus on expansion and operational efficiency.

The new routes will include weekly flights between Sialkot and Bahrain, set to begin on January 20, and between Lahore and Kuwait, starting January 25. Additionally, flights connecting Lahore to Dammam will operate twice a week from January 22, while Faisalabad to Jeddah services will commence on January 20.

Travelers between Peshawar and Karachi can also look forward to a new weekly flight starting January 25. Another key addition includes flights between Sialkot and Doha, beginning on January 21.

This expansion is supported by efforts to reintegrate grounded aircraft into active service. PIA’s acting CEO, Khurram Mushtaq, highlighted the airline’s goal to increase its operational fleet to 24 aircraft in the coming months.

With 19 aircraft currently operational, the airline is working towards reactivating more of its Boeing 777, Airbus 320, and ATR aircraft to enhance capacity.

The airline has also announced a 25% salary hike for employees, showcasing a commitment to improving staff welfare alongside operational upgrades.

PIA’s ongoing revival strategy aims to boost its revenue and global presence, with plans to fully activate its fleet of 34 aircraft by the end of the year. This initiative marks a promising chapter in the airline’s journey towards renewed success.
