Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has recently begun flying to Baku, Azerbaijan, from Lahore and Karachi.
According to a PIA official, two simultaneous national flag carrier flights with 340 passengers arrived in Baku on Wednesday. One flight departed from Karachi, while the other took off from Lahore.
At the Lahore and Karachi airports, simple cake-cutting ceremonies were held, and flowers and presents were presented to travellers. However, both flights took off and landed with full loads.
Additionally, the passengers and crew members were met at Baku airport by the Azerbaijani Minister of Transport, heads of Civil Aviation, presidents of Azal Air and Baku Airport, and also the Pakistani ambassador.
