PIA to Launch International Flights to Uzbekistan

PIA is getting ready to start international flights to Uzbekistan. This new move is meant to strengthen trade, tourism, and friendly ties between the two countries.

The decision follows instructions from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who wants to improve Pakistan’s international connections. Private airlines will also be included in this plan to make travel easier and increase cooperation with Uzbekistan.

The announcement was made during a meeting between Haroon Akhtar Khan, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, and Uzbekistan’s Minister for Tourism, Umid Shadiev. Both sides agreed that starting direct flights will help improve business, tourism, and cultural understanding.

One of the main goals of this initiative is to make it easier for people from both countries to visit each other. The two countries will work together to improve the visa process and remove barriers to travel. This will help tourists, students, and business people move between Pakistan and Uzbekistan more freely.

The flights are expected to encourage cultural exchange and stronger people-to-people ties. Both governments believe that direct air travel will also support economic growth by opening new trade opportunities.

Officials are hopeful that this step will not only bring the two countries closer but also open doors for new partnerships in different areas like education, tourism, and business.

This new flight route is a part of Pakistan’s larger plan to build better relationships with Central Asian countries. With improved travel and communication, both Pakistan and Uzbekistan aim to benefit from shared interests and stronger diplomatic and cultural bonds.

The new flights are expected to start soon, and more details will be shared in the coming weeks. Travelers and businesses from both sides are looking forward to this positive development.
