Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced full support for the people affected by the recent floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. As a sign of solidarity, he has donated one month’s salary from the federal cabinet to help with relief efforts.
The Prime Minister also shared that families who have lost loved ones in the disaster will be given financial assistance through the official relief package. He stressed that helping those in need at this difficult time is not just a responsibility of the government, but a duty for the entire nation.
To speed up recovery, the Prime Minister has directed the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), the National Highway Authority (NHA), and the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) to immediately assess the damage caused by the floods. He also ordered that repair and restoration work on roads, bridges, and other essential infrastructure should be started without delay.
This commitment, he said, is part of the government’s efforts to stand firmly with flood-affected families and ensure that relief reaches them as quickly as possible.
