PM Imran Khan announces to watch Pakistan-Australia test match at Rawalpindi Stadium.

Fawad Chaudhry, the Information Minister, stated on Friday that Prime Minister Imran Khan will attend the ongoing test match between Pakistan and Australia at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

He made the statement after speaking to the media at the Rawalpindi cricket stadium, backed by Governor Sindh Imran Ismail. “Governor Sindh will meet Prime Minister Imran Khan, who will thereafter watch the Pakistan-Australia test match,” he said.

The communications minister also encouraged opposition parties to watch the historic event, saying that he would arrange free tickets for their leaders if they agreed to attend the game rather than march.

He went on to say that there is a need to rebuild a sports-based connection with India so that both countries can progress in this direction. “We want the Indian cricket team to come to Pakistan to play matches, not to devise plots,” Fawad Chaudhry remarked.

After 24 years, Rawalpindi Stadium will welcome the Australian cricket team, and strong security measures have been put in place to prevent any untoward incidents.
