According to the news, on Monday, PM Imran Khan started in Islamabad the nationwide monsoon plantation project.
While addressing the media during the event, to boost the country’s forest cover, the premier requested the entire nation to equally take part in the plantation campaign.
PM further said the Govt’s 10 billion tree Tsunami project along with the plantation of 1 billion trees in KPK is extensively recognized all over the world. He stated Pakistan is now known internationally as a leading state which is taking measures to reverse carbon emissions.
According to the PM’s statement, it would get a massive revolution if each individual plants at least one sapling in the coming next 3 weeks.
PM Imran Khan stated he has also ordered the commissioners & deputy commissioners to confirm plantation at empty areas in cities.
He added that, as this issue was given no importance in the past, unfortunately, our forest cover is very less compared to other regional countries.
“We have to make Pakistan green to fight global warming & counterbalance the effect of pollution, our aim is to leave behind a better Pakistan for future generations.”, said the PM
