Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that May 10 will be observed every year as Youm-e-Markaz-e-Haq to celebrate the success of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos. This day will be marked across the country to honour the bravery and sacrifice of Pakistan’s armed forces.
The Prime Minister said the day will be celebrated with national pride and unity, paying tribute to the soldiers who defended the country with courage. He added that this day will remind the nation of the strength and commitment shown by the military during challenging times.
In addition, May 16, 2025, will be observed as Youm-e-Tashakur — a day of thanks. On this day, people across Pakistan will offer special prayers to express gratitude to Allah and to appreciate the military’s role in protecting the country.
PM Shehbaz Sharif also announced a special support package for the families of martyrs (Shuhada) who laid down their lives during the conflict. The government will also provide assistance to citizens and properties affected by recent Indian attacks.
These steps aim to honour the sacrifices made by the armed forces and support those who suffered during the conflict, while promoting peace, unity, and national pride.
