PM Shehbaz Sharif Declares ‘Education Emergency’Across Pakistan

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif made a big announcement on Wednesday, declaring an education emergency across the country. His goal is to get about 26 million children who are not in school to enroll and to improve literacy rates so Pakistan can be one of the most educated places in the world.

Speaking at a National Conference about Education Emergency, the prime minister showed strong commitment to dealing with the problem of kids not going to school and promised to personally make sure things go well. He said it’s important for all provinces to work together, forgetting about political fights, to make Pakistan’s future brighter.

PM Shehbaz talked about the good things the Punjab government did while he was the chief minister. He mentioned programs like the Zevar Taleem Program, which helped more girls go to school. He also talked about efforts to help kids who work in brick kilns to get an education.

He also mentioned other projects like giving poorly performing schools to other organizations to make them better and setting up Daanish Schools where poor kids can get a good education and a place to stay for free.
