Recently, PM of Pakistan instructed authorities to setup passport counters at NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority) in order to facilitate the applicants.
Heading a huddle on hassle-free access to passports and CNICs (computerized national identity cards), Shahbaz Sharif stated that the initiative not only facilitate the applicants but also divide the burden on national exchequer.
Further, in order to materialize the collaboration, PM asked NADRA and the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports to share their resources.
He instructed that all the previously approved new passport offices would be set up as counter at NADRA.
Moreover, Shehbaz Sharif directed to increase the count of mobile vans of National Database and Registration Authority to provide door to door service to CNIC applicants.
While for the renewal of CNICs, the huddle was informed that NADRA was set to introduce a mobile application for applicants.
