On Thursday, the Pakistan Medical Commission declared that it is raising the seats of medical and dental colleges nationwide.
The progress came after requests from provinces were received by the PMC for an emergency improvement of medical and dental college seats to accommodate different quotas.
The medical body stated that “PMC had reviewed these requests and authorized the enhancement of seats in certain colleges,”
As per statistics given by the PMC, 495 seats have been added to the current numbers. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 240 seats have been increased, 240 in Punjab, and 15 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
