PMD Predicted Heavy Rains in Pakistan from Today

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted pre-monsoon heavy rainfall in the country from 25th to 30th June 2023. The weather will remain hot and humid in most of the plains however, heavy rainfall with strong winds is expected in the upper and central regions of the country.

Islamabad and Kashmir are expected to experience rainfall today although the weather remained warm during the day. In addition, scorching heat is expected in most of the districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.

Rainfall is also likely to occur in Dir, Chitral, Sawat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Peshawar, and Haripur as well as Mardan, Noshehra, Swabi, Bannu, D.I Khan, Karam, Laki Marwat, and Kohat.

Strong winds with thunderstorms are expected in Attock, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Sargodha, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Chakwal, Mianwali, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Narowal, Sheikhupura, Murree, and Gilgit.   

Dusty winds with thunderstorms are also expected in Multan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Sahiwal, D.G. Khan, Bhakkar, and Faisalabad. Sindh is expected to experience hot weather during the daytime and winds during the evening. Karachi is also expected to enjoy slight rainfall.

17 mm of rainfall in Muzaffarabad, 07 mm at the Airport, 04 mm in Rawalakot, 15 mm in Malam Jabba, 12 mm in Balakot, and 05 mm in Saidu sharif has been recorded yesterday.
