The Audi A6 Sportback e-tron has achieved a new Guinness World Record after travelling an impressive 1,338 kilometres on a single charge, marking one of the longest recorded journeys completed by an electric vehicle without recharging.
The record-breaking drive took place across Poland and lasted for more than 45 hours. During the journey, the electric car recorded an exceptionally low average energy consumption of just 7.09 kWh per 100 kilometres, demonstrating how driving conditions, speed management and overall efficiency can significantly affect an EV’s real-world range.
The production version of the Audi A6 Sportback e-tron is equipped with a 94.9 kWh usable battery and has an official WLTP range of up to 777 kilometres.
The record highlights how careful driving and favourable conditions can allow an electric vehicle to travel considerably farther than its official range figures suggest.
The achievement adds another notable milestone to the growing list of long-distance electric vehicle records, as manufacturers continue to focus on improving battery efficiency, aerodynamics and real-world driving range.
