Power Planning and Monitoring Company Announces Job Vacancy in Pakistan

The Power Planning and Monitoring Company (PPMC), established in October 2021, is extending an opportunity for individuals to join its team in Pakistan. PPMC is actively involved in providing support to the Ministry of Energy (Power Division) in various aspects such as monitoring, coordination of distribution companies (DISCOs), transmission and system operations, market operations, generation, and Pakistan International Airlines Corporation (PIAC) on policy, technical, and performance monitoring matters.

Job Description

PPMC is seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to fill the position of Director General (DG) Services & Coordination. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing strategic oversight, coordination, and support to ensure the efficient functioning of various departments and initiatives within the organization as directed by the government.

Desired Competencies

The ideal candidate should possess experience in developing and implementing service standards, performance metrics, and quality assurance processes. They should also have the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, foster a culture of teamwork and partnership, and facilitate capacity building through training and certification initiatives.

Additionally, proficiency in project management methodologies, understanding of power planning, monitoring, and management principles, familiarity with relevant tools and technologies used in the power sector, and strong analytical skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates applying for the position must hold a Master’s degree in HRM, Business Administration, Management, or Public Administration from a recognized local or foreign university. They should have at least 15 years of relevant working experience with reputed organizations, including at least 3 years in a senior managerial/head capacity.

The age limit for applicants is up to 55 years as of the closing date of the advertisement. The initial contract period is for three years, including the first four months on probation, with the possibility of extension for another term of three years based on satisfactory performance. The salary will be as per PPMC Scale P-6, ranging from 1.0 to 1.5 million per month, along with other facilities according to company policy.
