The major development of Pakistan is modernizing and growing with the contribution of all sectors while including the Pakistan Railways freight service that has recently launched a modernized premium container train that will travel between Karachi and the Lahore.
According to the official source, on Thursday night, the first premium container train departed from the Juma Goth railway station for Lahore.
Pakistan Railway has also scheduled about 6 up-country departures of the premium container train on the given dates of each month, that are, 1st, 6th, 11th, 16th, 21st and 26th; however, the down-country departures will also take place on the scheduled dates that are 3rd, 8th, 13th, 18th, 23rd and 28th of each month.
It was added that the booking procedures like for all of wagons of this container train are also available online through open bidding that is on the website of the railways.
This newly launched container train is also expected to cover the overall area from Karachi to the Lahore distance just within a time frame of 32 hours in total.
